We put up our flag today to show off. Looks very nice, I think. Mary and I went over to the Memorial Day ceremony in Chico until Mary started acting like a monster and we had to go hide in the back. Other than that, taking it easy today, doing house work and reading. The book club book is getting a little depressing. I had to take a break before the dams broke. I wish we were in San Diego for Memorial Day so we could take part in the ceremonies they have at Fort Rosecrans. One of these days after I win the lottery, we'll be there.

I finished the book club book and decided that if the next book is anywhere near as depressing as the last 3, there will be mutiny. I'll have to insist on a bodice ripper just to break it up!
